I started at Albert Cottage for the all important getting ready shots ( these really do help to tell the story of the day ) with a crazy bunch of girls!.
Then it was off to the church at St Mildred's in Whippingham which went very well until right in the middle of the ceremony a mobile phone started playing the Aliens tune........ Yep my phone...... I still say it was Queen Vic having a laugh just like the whole of the congregation did!.
Then it was back to Albert Cottage for a very relaxed afternoon in the sun before the party really got going in the evening.

How we met-
On a night out in Chicago Rock in April 2009 (a few months before my 18th birthday!!). We spent the whole summer together and then Isaac went away to university in Swansea for 3 years. I travelled up there every other weekend and he came back to the island during the holidays and any other time he could.
How we got engaged-
On a weekend away in Cheltenham for Isaac's 21st birthday, a few weeks before he went away to work in France for 3 months over the summer. It was a complete surprise and he got down on one knee in our hotel room!
Venue-
We only looked at 2 other wedding venues and as soon as we looked round Albert Cottage we knew it was 'the one'. It ticked all the boxes and fitted perfectly with the style of wedding we wanted.
Inspiration for theme of wedding-
I love pastel colours and felt they fitted really well with the time of year and Albert Cottage (especially the green!). A lot of inspiration from Pinterest as well, I spent many evenings gathering ideas and ended up with hundreds of screenshots on my phone and various wedding related albums!
First dance song- Adele,
Make you feel my love. We didn't really have 'a song' before the wedding but we both agreed on this song and felt it was quite fitting, because without sounding cheesy, we would do anything for each other. For the three years that Isaac was in Wales at university we never gave up on each other and did whatever we could to see each other.
Number one tip for other couples planning their wedding-
Believe people when they tell you how quick the day goes, I never did until the day arrived and it went past in a flash! Enjoy every minute of it, from getting ready through to dancing the night away! And my advice for brides would be, supply flip flops for your guests- I did and not only were my own feet very grateful, it kept our guests dancing all night long!!
