This is a blog page of popular venues for weddings on the Island with links to the church's or Hotels. I have included links to the web pages and my blogs of weddings from those venues that I have photographed.  I have many venues to add so over the next few weeks this page will grow.

I hope that this will give future brides a little more information when making their choice for the happy day.

St Saviour On The Cliff Shanklin & Haseley Manor Arreton 

WOW, what a venue to have your wedding at Haseley Manor in Arreton owned by William the Conquer, Henry V111, Charles 11 the list is endless and now the present owners allow 5 weddings a year to be held there.

St Olave's Church Chillerton & Island Harbour

St Olaves is a beautiful quaint little church in Gatcombe nr Chillerton and Island Harbout has a lovely little restaurant with some amazing countryside around it for your wedding photo's.

St Agnes' Church Freshwater

A very small but beautifully thatched church in Freshwater Bay, I must warn you that the vicar of this church will not allow any pictures during the service. Freshwater Bay is amazing for the wedding photography if your willing to take the time to get them.

The wedding linked to the blog is a Christmas wedding, we were so lucky with the weather and had an amazing time above Freshwater on the downs

Gurnard Pines 

If you need a big venue then this could be the place for you, you also have the option of Gurnard beach for a photo shoot.

St Mildred Church & Osbourne House East Cowes

The church at Whippingham was founded by William Fitz Osborne in 1066, and remained in existence until 1804, when it was demolished to make way for a new church designed by John Nash (1752-1835). Around 1855 a new church was built by Albert Jenkins Humbert [who later built Sandringham the home of the royal family in Kent], though no proof exists it is believed the Prince Albert was involved in its design. In 1861/2 the church you see today was completed and Prince Albert was very much involved ( ©wootton bridge historical )

This church has to be one of my favourite churches as the photographs look amazing from it.

Osbourne House...... well its just an idyllic venue for a wedding.
